The Dell 15 with Intel's Core 3 100U is the comfort pick. Its 15.6-inch Full HD panel is a 120Hz WVA IPS display with an anti-glare coating and 250 nits of brightness, and it makes reading, scrolling and spreadsheet work more pleasant than any 60Hz TN screen.

Best for: Anyone who wants balance: speed, screen and battery
Ranked #3 of 8 on our list of the best laptops under 60000.
Acer's Aspire 3 (A325-42) doesn't have one standout feature, but it gets almost everything right. You get a six-core Ryzen 5 7430U (up to 4.5GHz), 16GB of DDR4 (upgradable to 32GB), an IPS Full HD panel, a backlit keyboard and the biggest battery in this guide at 55Wh.
That combination of a good screen, good battery and good keyboard is what makes a laptop pleasant to use every day, and it's why this is our pick for most buyers who don't have a specific need. The trade-offs are weight (1.79 kg) and the lack of bundled Office.

How to choose the best laptop under 60000
The best laptop under 60000 for you depends on a few key specifications. Check them in this order.
Insist on 16GB RAM
At ₹60,000, 16GB of RAM is standard, and you shouldn't settle for less unless the laptop's memory is upgradable and you're happy to add a stick yourself. 16GB keeps Chrome, Teams, Office and light creative apps running smoothly together.
Pick the CPU for your workload
For office and study, a four-core Ryzen 5 7520U or Intel Core 3 is enough. For coding, data work and photo editing, choose a six-core chip such as the Ryzen 5 7430U, 7535U or 5625U, or an eight-core chip such as the Ryzen 7 7730U or Core Ultra 5 115U. Higher core counts make the biggest difference in multi-threaded tasks like exports and compiles.
Integrated graphics vary a lot
None of these laptops has a dedicated GPU, but their integrated graphics are far from equal. AMD's Radeon 660M (in the Ryzen 5 7535U) uses the newer RDNA 2 architecture and is the best choice here for light gaming. The Radeon 610M in Ryzen 7520U models is the most basic. All AMD iGPUs run noticeably faster with dual-channel RAM (two sticks).
Screen quality: IPS/WVA over TN
Check the panel type in the listing. IPS and WVA panels have wide viewing angles, while TN panels look washed out from the side. A 120Hz refresh rate, like the Dell 15's, is a nice bonus for scrolling.
Battery, weight and keyboard
A battery of 50Wh or more (Aspire 3 models) gives you a real all-day cushion, while 36Wh models need a charger nearby. If you commute, anything under 1.5 kg is easy to carry. A backlit keyboard is worth having if you work late or in dim classrooms.
Intel vs AMD: which makes the best laptop under 60000?
Both chipmakers are well represented on our list of the best laptops under 60000.
AMD dominates this segment. Its Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 U-series chips offer more cores per rupee and stronger integrated graphics. Intel's Core 3 and Core Ultra 5 models compete on efficiency and features such as Wi-Fi 6 and better webcams. For pure value, AMD wins. For the newest platform, and if you like Intel's ecosystem, the Core Ultra 5 Aspire 3 is the one to pick.
How we chose the best laptops under 60000
We compared current listings in this price band and verified every specification against each model's technical details and the manufacturer's spec sheet, cross-checking processor details with AMD's Ryzen laptop processor specifications and Intel's ARK product database. We also read buyer reviews for recurring faults. We excluded out-of-stock models, listings whose specs contradicted themselves, and refurbished or unclear third-party listings.
We update this list of the best laptops under 60000 when models change or go out of stock.
